See's Candies Comes to Austin


Founded in 1921 See's Candies has been dedicated to making candy with the finest, freshest ingredients.  Most recipes are still kept in binders safely protected in a safe - awesome!  They add no preservatives. They take pride in using the best ingredients and making a quality product -  even in the 1970's during the sugar shortage, instead of using less sugar in their candies, See's just made less candy.  Wow!   See's was founded and is headquartered in California and has over 200 shops here in the US.  

Chocolate is aged to make for a more smooth product.  And I must say, the chocolate is one of the best I've tasted. They have over 100 varieties of chocolates and you can build your very own box and fill it with all your favorites.  The staff was simply amazing…when entering any See's store you are greeted with a happy warm smile, a friendly hello and a FREE PEICE OF CANDY!  Hummmmm!


See's opened it's first shop here in Austin and invited a few lucky bloggers to view the shop and package our own chocolate boxes before the store opened.  I had such a great time.  I even got a picture of awesome bloggers Lani with Elle Dee Designs and Jamie with C.R.A.F.T


And oh, I loved all the goodies I brought home.  I'm sure we will visit again soon - we all had such a fun time.  I'm sure I will need to run extra this week from all the EXTRA snacking I've done.  Have a great week everyone.
